More Women Blog Than Men
Oooh, I just love cool stats like these :)
The Perseus Blog Survey reports that females are more likely than males to create blogs, accounting for 56.0% of hosted blogs.
Males are also more likely than females to abandon blogs, with 46.4% of abandoned blogs created by males, as compared to 40.7% of active blogs being created by males.
Actually the stats don't mean that much since there seems to be very little difference between the two genders statistically.
But what it does mean for women in business is that we do have lots of company - and that there's a lot of potential for creating communities of women who blog. Hmmm... now that's a fun idea. :)
Note: The survey did not cover nonhosted blogs - blogs that individuals maintain on their own servers using their own tools.
