Having a mobile version of your website is not a luxury going forward, it&#8217;s becoming essential.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From 2010 to 2011 there has been a 57% increase of people surfing the Internet via their mobile phones, and this trend is set to continue.<\/strong> Users are becoming more and more mobile with devices like iPhones, Droids and Blackberries.<\/p>\n<p>Information on the go is important, not just for businesses, but for the average citizen looking for directions of a particular location, or simply to connect with their friends on social media networks such as Facebook. Using it effectively is a sure-fire way to get more customers.<\/p>\n<p>Mobile websites are all about discovering the right way to deliver content that&#8217;s needed by prospective consumers &#8211; that part is obvious. This new media is an excellent business opportunity, and has become a focus for businesses trying to ascertain what the optimal marketing strategy is for their business.<\/p>\n<p>The mobile web is now considered an established third medium, and people are working hard to engage users. There have been significant movement in establishing mobile sites designed with eCommerce and extends the businesses reach beyond SMS. With this new medium, mobile audiences can now be engaged with specific, targeted promotions and information.<\/p>\n<p>Big companies like Visa and American Express are already embracing the new medium, with midsized businesses following close behind.
