Build Blog Traffic Through Articles
Chris Knight, editor and owner of my favourite article directory EzineArticles.com, has written an excellent article on how bloggers can use articles to build traffic to their blogs.
Its a tactic I’ve been using for quite a while now. I mean, we write a lot anyway, so why not make use of it?
When I write a particularly meaty post or something that I feel needs to be shared with others, I sometimes compile it into an article and post it to my long list of article directories and submission sites.
As you can see Chris’s site is at the top of that list.
I used this tactic just yesterday, in fact, when I compiled a post on spam-blogging on my SEO blog into an article and submitted it to Chris’s directory here.
A little hint on (one of the reasons) why Chris’s directory is at the top of my list. Check the Pagerank of the page that my article is hosted on and see how easy is it is to get a high-PR link back to your page when you use article marketing.
But before you submit to this directory, make sure you read Chris’s superlative editorial guidelines. They cover not just grammar and punctuation but also have some excellent tips on article optimization.
I recommend that anyone who uses article marketing read them whether you submit to his directory or not.
