Why I Love Wordpress
I started out blogging with Blogger and had to implement Haloscan to see my Trackbacks.
But being the control freak that I am I now regret the Blogger decision. Tried moving my Blogger posts on EbizWhiz Marketing Notes to Wordpress and screwed up big time. Never gonna try that again.
I use b2 evolution for my eBrand360 blog here but haven’t really seen the sort of search engine results that I’ve seen with Blogger.
I get hits to my b2 blog from Technorati and other blog search engines but few listings in Google and Yahoo.
I guess its too early to conclude that b2 is not the choice for SEO, but I’ve seen good results with Blogger and Wordpress, so I think I’ll stick to them for now.
Besides Blogger customization is easy, I’ve got it down to about 15 minutes to cusomize a new Blogger template.
The new version of Wordpress 1.5 uses the sexy Kubrick template. I hope my host upgrades to it soon.
Wordpress has great customization and search engine rankings, but you have to implement a mod rewrite to make the URLs search engine friendly. My current host provides great support so I rely on him to do that for me.
Contact me if you need help getting your blog started (and I recommend you use Wordpress).
I can help you get every thing started (domain, blog host, install, mod rewrite) for just $27.
If you need a custom Wordpress template built for you, I can get it done for $75 (MUCH less than what other designers charge).
