How To Profit From Your Blog
Thanks to Roy Hrastnik for pointing out Robin Good’s excellent article on how independent publishers can generate revenue streams from their blogs.
Robin lists a few guiding principles from his experience in the search for creating multiple income streams for an independent online publisher, blogger or small news site:
- Relevance, Value
- Complementarity
- Visual unobtrusiveness - Non-interruptiveness
- Publisher Control
- Endorsement
He also recommends that you diversify your income streams and don't bet all your money on one horse.
You can make money by creating and cultivating multiple, small, income streams. Relying on one big source of income is always very dangerous. If that resource disappears so does your ability to survive.
