Business Blogging Books Roundup
I wish I had been posting more on this blog, but I’ve been busy doing something that’s just as important – reading a whole bunch of blogging manuals and eBooks that I bought – sometimes switching between one or another.
Here’s the list, with comments on them.
- B.L. Ochman’s What Could Your Company Do With A Blog? is an excellent introduction to the blogosphere and blogging for corporates. Lots of screenshots and links to explore company and individual blogs along with B.L’s expert insights and comments Highly recommended. Cost: $97
- Don K. Crowther's Blogging for Business Training Manual. This is a really very good manual for PR professionals. I was particularly happy with his tips on writing a blog. Cost: $47
- Debbie Weil’s Business Blogging Starter Kit. At the time I ordered Debbie’s manual it came with a Powerpoint presentation and audio file of her Uncool Blogging Seminar. Just started reading it so I can’t comment, but it looks pretty good so far. Cost: $97
- Thomas Pierce’s How To Blog For Fun & Profits Manual & Step-by-Step Video Tutorials is a well-written and comprehensive tutorial with video tutorials on setting up a blog, printed manuals that explain concepts in an easy-to-follow language, and (coming soon) DVDs of a blogging seminar that Thomas recently conducted on blogging. The most comprehensive material on blogging I’ve seen anywhere. Suitable for both for beginning and advanced bloggers, and highly recommended if you plan to use blogging as a tool to boost your search engine rankings. The sales letter is a bit hypey, but don’t let that stop you from seeing the immense value behind it. Cost: $347 (payable in installments)
- Tinu AbayomiPaul’s "Blog About This: 75 Business Blog Topics" book has a lot of very useful tips to overcome writer’s block. If you’re often stuck for ideas, it’s a handy reference tool. Cost: $17, $27 if you want resale rights.
Well, that’s it for now. Back to reading.
